Beethoven: Triple Concerto
BRIDGE 9395

$ 14.99

Beethoven's Concerto for Violin, Cello, and Piano in C major, Op. 56, more commonly known as the Triple Concerto, was composed in 1803, and is the only concerto Beethoven ever wrote for more than one solo instrument. In this fiery performance the Claremont Trio is joined by the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra, led by the orchestra's British-born Music Director, Martin West. The E-flat major Trio is the first in a set of three Trios, first performed in 1793, in the house of their dedicatee, Prince Lichnowsky. Again featured, is the brilliant Claremont Trio. "It’s little wonder that with performances of this quality, the Claremont Trio can justifiably be considered one of America’s finest young chamber groups." - The Strad

Reviews:

This is a thoroughly delightful recording. The orchestra work is played with warmth and vigor, and the chamber piece absolutely sparkles, the coruscating lines in the Presto section delivered by pianist Andrea Lam with an almost laughing virtuosity.” - CD Hotlist

The ladies of the Claremont perform with warmth and inspired precision, and the sonic quality is excellent.” - ICON
