This memorable recording, performed at the Caramoor Festival, features the great mezzo Lorraine Hunt Lieberson partnered by the young tenor, Joseph Kaiser, the Tamino in Kenneth Branagh’s recent film of Die Zauberflöte. Solo and duo songs mix in this touching New York Festival of Song program of Spanish, and Spanish-related songs by Granados, Turina, Rodrigo, Mompou, Roussel, Ravel, Chabrier, Schumann, Wolf, Sondheim and others. This CD release coincides with Joseph Kaiser's Metropolitan Opera debut performances singing the roles of Romeo in Gounod's "Romeo and Juliet", and Tamino in Mozart's "The Magic Flute."
