Born in Buenos Aires, the late Jorge Liderman was a member of the composition faculty at the University of California, Berkeley. Liderman's music is a powerful blend of hyper-intense rhythmic energy and brilliant orchestration. This disc features the composer's 30- minute Barcelonazo, an ebullient score which seeks to mirror the excitement and intensity of Barcelona as seen on a recent visit.
