Volume 11 of Bridge's Complete Crumb Edition includes works from the early, middle and late periods of Crumb's work. Crumb's early orchestral masterpiece Variazioni is heard in its first digital recording, and the composer's three-movement version of Otherworldly Resonances for two pianosreceives its premiere recording. The other three works feature Crumb's greatest interpreter and muse- the late Jan DeGaetani. Night of the Four Moons is a re-issue of DeGaetani's classic Grammy-nominated Columbia recording, and The Sleeper and Three Early Songs come from DeGaetani and duo partner Gilbert Kalish's last recitals together. A moving and poignant tribute to an American master.
