Ludwig van Beethoven: Complete Music for Cello and Piano
Laurence Lesser, pupil of Gregor Piatigorsky and Gaspar Cassado, and former President of the New England Conservatory, joins forces with pianist HaeSun Paik, winner of top prizes at the Leeds, Tchaikovsky, William Kappell, & Queen Elisabeth (Belgium) competitions, in performances of Beethoven's complete music for Cello and Piano. The performances were recorded in 2009 in the acoustically superb Jordan Hall (Boston). Included with the double-CD set is a DVD featuring the artists in 2009 concerts from Kumho Art Hall (Seoul, South Korea), biographical material, and a discussion of Beethoven's compositions for cello and piano.
