Symphonic Music of the Americas
During the past 35 years, Bridge Records has documented Symphonic Music of the Americas ranging from American tone poems of the 19th Century through newly composed symphonic masterpieces. Many of Bridge's recordings have garnered Grammy nominations and international awards.
From the jazz influenced generation of George Gershwin, John Alden Carpenter Carpenter, and Edward Burlingame Hill, through the colorful Latin American ballets and tone poems of Ginastera and Villa-Lobos, through the fresh and disparate symphonic tapestries of Aaron Copland, Elliott Carter, and George Crumb, Bridge Records has recorded a huge range of music played by orchestras of both international and regional standing, including the New York Philharmonic, The Austin Symphony Orchestra, The Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Alabama Symphony Orchestra, the Odense Symphony Orchestra, and the BBC Symphony Orchestra.
